Are you retired with a few hours free each week?
Are you a former patient at Barts looking for a way to give something back?
Are you student interested in volunteering for work experience?
Do you have some time to spare on a regular basis?
Please consider whether you might have some time on weekdays or weekends on a regular basis to help in our shops or with our trolley service for patients.
Our services are staffed by volunteers
Help us by working in our shop selling:
- Toiletries, newspapers, cards, sweets, cold drinks, biscuits etc
- Second hand books
- Occasional ‘table-top’ sales with donated goods
- Barts memorabilia including glassware, tee shirts, sweatshirts, pens, cards, fridge magnets, playing cards
Our shop is in the outpatients department at Barts Hospital and is open Monday-Friday.
Join our trolley service:
- Taking the shop to the bedside! We load our trolleys daily, Monday-Sunday, and visit patients on the wards so even immobile patients have access to snacks, newspapers and toiletries
For more information about becoming a Guild volunteer at Barts, please see the Barts Health NHS Trust website.
